William Harry Fisher, 89, Lincoln, died Sunday (2-24-08). Born in Alton, Illinois (5-29-1918) to Verner and Mary (Braun) Fisher. WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, serving his country from 1941-1946 in the South Pacific, U.S. Navy Paymaster in Melbourne, Australia 1944-1945. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Harvard Business School and U. S. Navy Supply Corps School. Musician, professional jazz pianist. Married to Elizabeth Mortland on September 13, 1941. Athletic Business Manager UNL from 1961 until retirement in 1981. Member: American Legion Post #3, Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church.
Survived by his wife, Elizabeth, son, daughter-in-law: Richard and Vickie Fisher, Lincoln; daughters, sons-in-law: Sharon and David Lebsack, Malissa and Ronnie Brown, Lincoln; Mary and Alexander Finayev, Las Vegas, NV; brother: John T. Fisher, Georgetown, TX; grandchildren: Lindy Bonnett, Scott Lebsack, Jason Revelle, Matthew Revelle, Caleb Brown and Joshuah Brown; great-grandchildren: Haley Lebsack, Justin Revelle, Elijah Revelle, Sadie Revelle and Gavin Revelle.
