William F. Strauss, 85, passed away March 19, 2017 at his home in Lincoln. Born June 1, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Wilma (Dristy) Strauss. Ret. self-employed finish carpenter. Korean War Veteran, U.S. Naval Reserves and U. S. Air Force. An avid deer hunter being a lifetime member of Prairie Bowmen Archery Club.
Family members include his daughters, Terri Kurtenbach and Connie (Joel) Mendoza, all of Lincoln; son, Joseph (Lisa) Strauss, Garland; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-children. Preceded in death by his wife, Lavanda Trivalene (Green) Strauss and a grandson, Steven Strauss.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday (3-24-17) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly with military honors.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Thursday with family present from 7-8 p.m. at Roper and Sons.
