I am very sorry to learn of Bill’s recent passing. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with his family during this sad and difficult time. We were next door neighbors while growing up in Williamstown. Billy, another neighbor Al Orth and I spent many hours playing football and whiffle ball in our backyards. We laughed a lot, argued some, but always had fun when together. May he rest in peace.

Tena and family: we loved playing shuffleboard and ladder golf with Bill at Apache Wells RV Resort last season. He was fun to talk to and always had a big smile. We will miss him.

Tena, Ross, and family: Ann and I were saddened to learn of Bill’s death. I shall always remember his visits to Hastings to support Ross in his many music endeavors. He was a proud dad and his big smile always reflected it. I am in Arizona this week and regret that I was unable to attend the service at Eastridge yesterday. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Dear Whiston Family, I am sorry for the passing of your father/grandfather. I’ve enjoyed conversations with him while out walking Shelly and Rosie (our pups) in the neighborhood. Bill always seemed to have a smile when I saw him and so good natured. My sympathy for your family, finding comfort through good memories and the blessings of heaven’s promise.

I, too, went to high school with Bill. He was a good person. I was thinking about him the other day — how great it was seen him briefly at our 50th. Blessings and sympathies to the entire family.

I remember Bill well, although he was ahead of me at WHS by two years. Remember how kind he always was. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Tena and family — You don’t know me, but I graduated with Bill from Williamstown High and saw him at our 50th reunion in 2017. We all called him Edgar, in keeping with a fad of using each other’s middle name. Also “Knife” — a reference to his height and slender physique. We have followed each other on FB in recent years. Sunday, the day he died, was my birthday. Now I will always think of him on that date. Sincerely, Chuck Wolfe
