Obituary

William “Billy” Lee Hall

July 29, 1993 - July 10, 2022

William “Billy” Lee Hall, 28, of Lincoln passed away July 10, 2022. He was born July 29, 1993, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Kevin and Pam (McKelvey) Hall and grew up in McCool Junction, NE, where he graduated high school in 2011.

Billy was fiercely loyal and had an uncanny ability to make all feel welcome. He was charming, witty, and had a smile that could light up any room. Known for his generosity and selfless nature, Billy’s character was undeniably good. As a graduate of Chadron State College and a special education teacher at Goodrich Middle School, he was able to share his passion of caring for children and others. In his free time, Billy exuded his creativity and talents through custom DIY projects and home cooked meals that he loved to share with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors—whether tanking down the river, going on adventures, or hosting game nights on the back deck.

Billy is survived by his husband, Joseph McTygue; parents, Kevin and Pam Hall; sister, Whitney Hall; nieces and nephews, Braxton, Cale, Max, Vonn, and Iris; parents-in-law, Joseph and Alma McTygue; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Stephanie (Marshall) Behrens, Sarah McTygue, and Samuel Tibbetts. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, cousin Madison, and uncle Marvin.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, located at 3950 Hohensee Drive.

Visitation with family present will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel.

Should family and friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family for later designation.
