Wanda Elaine (Rush) Temple, 72, Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday (4-20-10). Wanda was born on (2-22-38) in Marquette, Kansas to Nelson Gust and Ruth Anna Victoria (Sunquist) Rush one of 5 children.
She was married to Francis Temple on October 5, 1956 and happily married for 53 years and raised 5 children. They settled in Omaha, Nebraska where she was employed at Mid-Continent Bottling Company for 26 years, then moving to Lincoln in 2000 where she was presently employed with Lincoln Public Schools. Wanda will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking and love of birds, but most of all she will be remembered for her endless love of family and friends.
Family member include her husband, Francis; children, spouses: Richard and Jana Temple, Bartlett, NE, Alan and April Temple, North Dakota, Doug and Jolene Temple, North Dakota, Brad and Pam Allen, Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, sisters-in-law: Ken and Nancy Rush, Gypsum, KS, Leland and Pam Rush, Salina, KS, sister, brother-in-law: Beverly and George Rutkoskie, Florida. Preceded in death by son, Ronnie Temple, parents, sister, Virginia May.
Funeral Service: 3:30 p.m. Friday (4-23-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Debbie Way, Life Celebrant officiating.
Additional Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday (4-24-10) Wilson-Shields Funeral Home, 405 Argyle, Minneapolis, KS with burial in Tescott, Kansas.
