Violet Lewis Gant, 100, of Lincoln, passed away January 10, 2015. Born June 11, 1914 to Robert and Carrie Lewis in Dallas, NC. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 50 years, involved in many volunteer organizations, loved gardening, reading, bowling, P.T.A., and bridge club.
She is survived by daughters, Judy (Doug) Keill, Martha “Denie” (Bruce) Gillan, Carol (Fred) Ochsner; 10 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Lincoln Gant; and son, Robert Lewis Gant.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St., with visitation 1 hr. prior to the funeral service. Burial in Wyuka Cemetery.
