Vera Mary Hertzel, 81, of Lincoln, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 3, 2016. Born September 8, 1934 in Elmwood, NE to Thomas J. and Vera (Caddy) Smith. Worked for Lenco, Inc. Homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. Lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Family members include her children and spouses, Jim and Robyn Hertzel, John and Cindy Robinson, Tom and Denise Hertzel, Dan and Katy Hertzel, Lonnie and Genevieve Hertzel, Brian and Lisa Nehe; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brother and spouse, Dean and Betty Smith. Preceded in death by husband, Darwin James Hertzel and grandson, Derek Nehe.
