Steven Lowell Fenster

July 17, 1961 - February 12, 2021

Steven Lowell Fenster

Steven Lowell Fenster, of Lincoln, passed away suddenly in his home on February 12, 2021.

Steve earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Steve was united in marriage with Nyla Jean Gengenbach on October 17, 1987, in North Platte, while the two of them were employed and living in Lincoln, where they happily shared a home.

Steve was a longtime member of the Frontier Lincoln Harley Owners Group and enjoyed riding his motorcycle all across Nebraska and the United States. Steve loved the open road, and the freedom it provided for him. On these many journeys, Steve made a wealth of friends with his quick wit and warm humor. Steve stayed close to his family members and friends spread across the country.

Steve is survived by his father Lowell (Willa), his mother-in-law Delores Gengenbach, his brother Bob (Stephanie), his stepsister Dana Howell, his aunt Shirley Colson, and his nephews Hayden and Marshal. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn, his wife Nyla, and his grandparents Emma and Walter Fenster and Glenn and Dorothy Harp.

Memorials to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).

A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel (3950 Hohensee Dr.). Interment will be in the spring at Aurora Cemetery in Aurora, NE.
