Sophie Kay Lemka-Truax, 33, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on November 3, 2023. She was born on June 8, 1990, in Omaha, NE, to Craig and Julie (Williams) Lemka. She worked for RISE.

She is survived by her children Carter James Truax (Tyler), Jaxson Ray Koziol (Brian), Jonathan Michael Loos (Kevin); parents Craig and Julie Lemka; sister Carly Jo Garner; brothers Logan Lemka and Austin Lanners; fiancé Kevin Loos; niece and nephew Annabelle and Briggs Garner; Grandfather Leonard Lemka; Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Jackie, Aunt Lanis, Aunt Jonie, as well as other numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Mary Lemka, Leona Williams, and Linda Sand.

A visitation will be held with family greeting friends from 6:00-7:30 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Roper and Sons South Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday November 10, 2023, at New Covenant Community Church, 6000 S. 84th St. An Interment will follow the service at 1:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery.

Sophie dated my son Grant in high school. She was the kind of girl that any parent would embrace as a daughter in law. I remember getting a disaster haircut. Sophie happened to drop by that night and confidently salvaged my scalp. It was an intimate moment. She also accompanied us to a weekend family reunion in Norfolk. Grant and Sophie parted but remained good friends. The world is a lesser place without her.

A beautiful soul gone too soon! Sophie had such a bubbly personality I new right away her and my daughter Jami would be friends forever. They were inseparable! Where Jami went Sophie went! Where Sophie went Jami went! They did everything together! I’m so thankful that Sophie was a part of our lives and she will be forever missed. Love you Sophie ❤️😘🌈
