Shirlea Ann Putman Hollinger, 85, of Lincoln, passed away January 4, 2018. The daughter of William and Marianne ( Thompson) Putman was born in Albion, NE on October 16, 1932.
Ann graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1950. She worked and raised her family until she got her further education and graduated from Teachers College, University of Nebraska in 1967. She taught Business subjects at Palmyra High School for 6 years and Business Communications at the University of Nebraska for 15 years.
Ann was an active member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, PEO, and Bryan Board. She was a huge University of Nebraska sports fan.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Hollinger; sons, Charles (Sook) Hollinger, Phoenix, AZ, and Jim (Merri-Beth) Hollinger, Forest City, IA; brother, Bill Putman, Las Cruces, NM; sister, Jeri (John) Neely, Fort Collins, CO; 6 nieces and nephews and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (1-8-18) St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd.
