Shemiah U. Nwansi, 64, of Lincoln passed away June 8, 2024. He was born June 1, 1960, in Nigeria to Herbert Chukwuma and Joy Adaku (Akam) Nwansi.

Shemiah was a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He worked for Tenneco Automotive in Seward, NE.

Shemiah is survived by his brother Seth Nwansi, Nigera; cousins John Okonji, North Carolina and Sam Nwansi, Illinois; nieces and nephews.

I enjoyed working with Shemiah at Tenneco. He helped me when I first started working there. It was fun and enjoyable talking about sports with him, knowing he was a Husker fan and I was a Buckeyes fan. Shemiah was a very kind and peaceful man. He is missed.
