February 7, 1955 - May 29, 2022

Shari K. Luehring, 67, of Lincoln, passed away on May 29th, 2022.

Shari was born in Fairbury, NE to Gilbert and Carolyn (Eilts) Luehring on February 7th, 1955. She graduated from Fairbury High School in 1973. She received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from St. Louis University in 1978. The great joy of her life was time spent with family. Whether it was traveling to attend a sporting event, watching a performance, or celebrating a special occasion she was always the biggest supporter of her nieces, nephews, and their children. She was also a fervent supporter of Nebraska Volleyball and rarely missed a game in the last 30 years.

Her love lives on in her brother Bruce (Anita) Luehring, sister Lori (Scott) Muller; nieces and nephews Katie (Paul) Guenther, Heather (Ely) Fletcher, Ashley (Derek) Larson, Joshua (Kellie) Muller, Holly (Jeremy) King, Jordan Muller; and her beloved great nieces and nephews Madison, Gradyn, Noah, Brynlee, Phoenix, Lucas, Ellery, Paxton, Joshua, Breckyn, Annika, Emersyn, and Acelyn.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Dan Hoffmeyer.

I graduated with Shari from Fairbury High School in 1973. Shari was the quintessential farm girl — smart, hard working, thoughtful, and always ready to pitch in to get things done. I’m sure she helped many people in her career by applying these traits. I am sorry to hear of her passing.

Shari was a special friend. I remember a sleepover at her house to celebrate our graduation from FHS in 1973 and moving on in our lives to college.
