Ruth J. “Jane” Rogers, 80, of Lincoln, died February 23, 2019. Born March 2, 1938, in Neligh, NE to Alfred L. and E. Naomi (Harnish) Pearson. She graduated from UNL in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education. Jane taught for 30 years with the Lincoln Public Schools at Everett Junior High and Dawes Middle School. She was member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church.
Family members include her daughter, Jamie (Bob) Hosler, Lincoln and son James R. (Meg) Rogers of Doha, Qatar; grandchildren, D.J. and Katie Hosler, Megan and Jack Rogers; Preceded in death by her parents and brother James A. Pearson.
Celebration Gathering will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Private family interment.
The family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice and Southlake Village (Woods Park) for their care and compassion. Memorials in lieu of flowers to the Lincoln Public Schools Foundation.
