Ruth J. Stubbs, 86, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Thursday 11-14-13. She was born 1-3-27 to Henry and Katherine Ostwald of Lincoln. She was married to LeRoy Stubbs on 8-15-64. Ruth was an active volunteer and member of First-Plymouth Church for 32 years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and restored antique dolls. She was also a member of the Lincoln Prairie and China Painters of Lincoln.
Survivors include sons, Larry (Kathy) Vance, Elkhorn, NE and Dennis (Judy) Vance, Duluth, GA; sister, Doris (Don) Taylor, Lincoln; brothers, Marvin (Margaret) Ostwald, Lincoln, Roger (Sherrel) Ostwald, Grand Island, NE; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and husband.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday (11-20-13) First Plymouth Church, 2000 D St. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Monday, with family receiving friends 6-7:30 p.m., at Roper & Sons Funeral Services, 4300 ‘O’ St.
