Ronald Lee Willet

April 29, 1931 - December 25, 2013

Ronald Lee Willet, 82, of Lincoln, died Wednesday (12-25-13). Born (4-29-31) in Lincoln, NE to Ernest and Mary (Pickens) Willet. Graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School (1949). Married Imelda Quinn on May 23, 1953 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lincoln. Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. Involved in Operation Looking Glass. Employed at State Patrol, Nebraska State Dept. of Roads and Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph Company as an accountant. Small business owner. Avid participant in Motor Iowa Rally. 50 year member of the American Legion. Former member of Lincoln Housing Board.

Family members include sons, Scott (Danis) Willet, Mark Willet (Jan Buel), Lee Willet (Cary Twomey); daughter, Ann Willet (Mark Butler); grandsons, Quinn and Kellan Willet, Cole and Sean Butler; brother-in-law, Tom Quinn; sister-in-law, Julie Brinkman. Preceded in death by loving wife of 60 years, Imelda; brother, Darrell Willet; sisters-in-law, Monica Quinn and Teresa Underhill; brother-in-law, Jerry Quinn.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (12-28-13) St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 6111 Morrill with Fr. Troy Schweiger officiating. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Manley, NE with Fr. Patrick Murphy officiating.

Memorials to St. Patrick’s Athletic Depart.

Visitation: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, followed by prayer service.
