Roger Norris Moody, 69, of Lincoln passed away October 16, 2018 at the Omaha Vet. Hospital. Born November 10, 1948 in Ainsworth, NE to Robert Norris Moody and Mardele Rose (Osborn) Coble. U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Retired brakeman/conductor, Burlington Northern Railroad.
Family members include his son, Jeremy (Lisa) Kerber, Norfolk; grandchildren, Nick (Felicia), Kayla, and Josh Rajaee; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Jerrie Schurr, Lincoln, Sheila Bechtel, Denver, CO and Susan Sharp, Titusville, FL, Becky Allbrecht, Spokane, WA, Dona New, Los Alamos, CO, Bobbi King, Idaho Springs, CO; brothers, Craig Coble, Norfolk and Mike Moody, Colleyville, TX; 9 nieces and 3 nephews; and Roger’s best friend and companion, his black lab J.C. Preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday (10-26-18) Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive (40th & Yankee Hill Rd.). Burial in Omaha National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
Memorials to the Capital Humane Society of Lincoln or Vietnam Vets of America.
No visitation/cremation.
