Roger G.  Miller

August 19, 1936 - November 2, 2024

Roger G.  Miller, 88, passed on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Wilber Care Center, in Wilber Nebraska with his family by his side and is now at peace with his heavenly father. He was born to Mabel (Impecoven) and Alphonse Miller on August 19, 1936, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He was the youngest of two children.

Roger graduated from Central High School in Aberdeen, South Dakota in 1954. Roger married Lillian Ell on June 23, 1956, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He enjoyed playing guitar, spending time with family, playing games and cards and loved working in his garage on woodworking projects. He was involved in his community, the Knights of Columbus, the Cortland Improvement Association, St. James Catholic Church and the Cortland Opry.

He is survived by his seven children: Stephen Miller (Jane) of Marshalltown, Iowa, Jayne (Russell Sayers) of Clarkson, Nebraska, Catherine (Ernie Toseland) of Bluffdale, Utah, Richard (Rita) of Carson City, Nevada, Patricia (Marty Sterneker) of Wichita, Kansas, Sandra (Philip TenHulzen) of Firth, Nebraska, and John (Brooke Stansberry) Lincoln, Nebraska. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lillian and sister Joyce.

The family will have a funeral mass at 10 AM on Saturday, November 30th at St. James Catholic Church in Cortland, Nebraska.

Memorials will be given to the St. James Catholic Church in Cortland, Nebraska.
