Robert “Bob” W. Evans, 91, of Lincoln passed away June 23, 2024. Born January 1, 1933, in Omaha, NE to Albert and Florence (Lawrence) Evans.
Bob was a service technician for Monroe Calculator Company for twenty years, a Computer Technician at UNL for 4 1/2 years, and a Computer Technician at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital for 4 years. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Boy Scouts in Grand Island and a Korean War Air Force Veteran.
Family members include his wife, Jeanette “Jean”; son Bob (Bridgette) Evans, Jr., Colleyville, TX; daughter Cindy (Jack) Pickel, Lincoln; son Rick (Anita) Evans, Elkhorn; daughter Sue (Drew) Congleton, Montgomery, TX; grandchildren, Neal Evans, Jeremy Evans, Luke Evans, Delicia Dickson (Matt), Ross Pickel, Garrett Pickel, Tif (Brian) Gil, Jen (Alex) Nurbabayev, Libby Evans, Justin (Sarah) Dibbern and Ben Dibbern; 23 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward, and sister Maud Wathen.
Memorial service: 10:00 am Saturday, June 29, 2024, Bethel Baptist Church, 1401 S. 77th Street.
Burial of ashes will be 10:00 am Monday, July 1, 2024, Omaha National Cemetery.

Bob (Dad) Evans was one of the most honorable and godly men I have ever met. His roots were grounded in faith, love and kindness. He and Jean raised 4 amazing children! He will be missed by all who knew him and we can all rest assured he is having the best welcoming party in heaven.
