Rita L. (Burchess) White, 80, of Lincoln passed away March 10, 2025. Born October 28, 1944, to Charles L. and Marie (Schulze) Burchess.
Rita was a Northeast High School graduate class of 1962. She married David Lee White, and they were married for 53 years prior to his passing.
Rita worked for the State of Nebraska at LRC for 42 years. She was a lifetime member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and longtime member of the LWML. Rita loved traveling, scrapbooking, and singing.
Survived by her daughter LeAnne White; stepchildren Kristen (Troy) Hess, Chad (Danette) White and Lonnie (Barb) White; grandchildren Heather Zimmerman and Guage Callaway, Sarah and Katharine White; great grandchildren Adam Jr., Lily and Zoey Zimmerman, and Tucker White; sister Marilyn Keiner; brother Charles “Bud” (Shannon) Burchess III. Preceded in death by her husband David, son Matthew, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2001 South 11th Street with Pastor Jeffrey Bloom officiating. Inurnment in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
