Richard E. Park, age 66 years 8 months, passed away Tuesday January 28, 2025 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, NE.
He was born in Los Angeles, California on May 29, 1958 to Cris and Elsie Park. Richard, his brother Ronald, Mother, and step father John Jenkins moved back to Nebraska, making their home in Lincoln in 1969.
Richard attended Goodrich Middle School and graduated from Lincoln High in 1976. He worked at Gooch’s, Goodyear, and Lincoln Industries. Richard was active in martial arts and received many awards. In his spare time he fixed everything that was broken, and some things that weren’t. He enjoyed riding his Harley. He was happiest when he had someone to visit with and a good meal to enjoy.
He is survived by his mother, Elsie Jenkins, brother, Ronald Park, both of Lincoln, NE, aunt, Karen Durfee of Cordova, NE, step sisters, Dorette Jenkins of Northern California, and Donna Ludwin of Arizona, along with many cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his Father, Cris Park, grandparents, step father, John Jenkins, step brother Jim Jenkins and many Aunts and Uncles.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Cordova Community Center, 395 Helen Street in Cordova, Nebraska.
