Revona Louise (Abele) Erks, 75, Lincoln, formerly of Seward, died Sunday (6-15-08). Born on a farm 2 miles north of Malcolm, NE (3-9-1933) to Fred and Hulda (Hannick) Abele. Baptized in 1933 and confirmed in 1947 into the Lutheran faith. A graduate of Gresham High School in 1951 and married Clarence Herman Erks, June 17, 1951, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gresham, NE.
She was a Sunday School teacher and active in Ladies Aid at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Seward. At Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln she was active in Multi-prayer groups, Circle Bible Study group, Ladies Aid, and volunteered her time. At the Van Dorn Villa she was active as a member of the Library and Craft group. She was also involved in a TOPS group. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, planting flowers and observing nature, reading, doing crafts and playing cards.
Family members include husband Clarence H. Erks; son, daughter-in-law: Steve and Eydis Erks; grandson: Justin Troester; granddaughters, spouses: DaisyAnn and Christopher Barrett; RoseAnn and William Davis; Rebekka Erks; all of Lincoln; son-in-law: Myron Troester, Marquette, NE; sister, brother-in-law: Ruth and Morris McNeill, Richland, MO; brother: Floyd Abele, Roca, NE; sister-in-law: Christine Erks, Utica, NE; nieces, nephews. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Shirley Troester.
Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (6-18-08) Trinity Lutheran Church, 12th & H. Pastor Matthew Tooman officiating. Interment at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Seward Cemetery.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street and one hour prior to service time at the Church.
