Jim served our Fourth Presbyterian Church for 18 years. Jim was one of a kind, compassionate, caring and very considerate of others. He was full of humility and a deep sense of commitment to his calling. He cherished his wife, and all that he served. He was quick to offer a prayer, hug or word of encouragement when needed. I am comforted knowing that he is in the presence of his Lord and holding hands with his wife. We will see him again.

Jim and I were colleagues in ministry in Lincoln. He was a good person who loved the Lord and cared deeply for people, especially for those in need. He also had a fun sense of humor. RIP my friend.

Jim was a good hearted person. Serving God was always first. He especially enjoyed working with the youth. He was always willing to help others in need. Jim was the best husband for my sister, Janet. he stuck by her side while she dealt with mental illness and years of cancer. I visited them several times in SD and NE. My fondest memories was when Jim and Janet took me on a weeks tour of SD. We visited the Bad Lands, Mt. Rushmore, Wall Drug Store, Custer State Park, Corn Palace, and Dead Wood. So many laughs along the way. Before Janet passed away, Betty and I went to NE. Jim made arrangements for us to stay with a wonderful lady. And then when Janet passed he did the same. Jim greatly enjoyed history and doing ancestry research. He was proud of his Scottish heritage. When Janet was buried he arranged for bag pipes to be played. We are planning to do the same for him. After years of struggle, he can now rest in peace.
