Redge K. Roper, 76, Lincoln, died Wednesday (2-23-11). Born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Max and Kay Roper. A graduate of Lincoln High School he attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He graduated from the National Foundation of Funeral Service. Redge was a retired funeral director with 20 years as Vice-President of Roper and Sons. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, cards and controversy.
He is survived by his son James H. Roper; daughter Mary Kay Kelley; 4 grandchildren Alex, Brett, Mason and Morgan; great grandson Elliott; brothers, sisters-in-law Louis L. and Sally Roper and Bill and Judy Roper.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday (2-26-11) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, funeral home.
