Randy was my coworker, and subordinate at Homestead AFB, Florida, from the mid 1990’s, to August of 1992. We were responsible for maintaining a 1.5 million unisys mainframe computer. His responsibility was to be in charge of mid shift operations. Due to national security the computer was required to operate 24/7. Randy was very important to me, for he worked alone, and multitasking was crucial to maintain the background operations constantly. Why, in a 10 to 15 minute time frame the computer could overheat if we lost power. Shut down steps were important. Sadly we parted ways when Hurricane Andrew hit Homestead AFB, in August of 1992. Randy came to Florida several years back, but I was unable to meet up with him. Rest in peace, Brother! Until us AMMO troops meet again…..IYAAYAS!!

Was shocked to learn that Randy passed away. I was stationed with him in Zweibrucken AB, Germany. Nice guy, calm and easy to talk to. I notified the other ammo folks that know him in Zweibrucken. Rest in peace brother!

To a man who shared his smile with my coworkers and I. Your presence has been missed throughout our store, and has hit some of harder than we thought. Amazing the connection you can build with someone you only see for a few moments a day. May peace be with you, and with your loved ones.
