Patricia Ann Birch, 86, of Lincoln, passed away April 3, 2016. Born December 7, 1929 in Lincoln, NE to John Charles and Alyce (Rickard) Meehan. After many years as a dispatcher Patricia retired from the Capitol Cab Company.
Pat loved spending as much time as possible with her family and friends. She was very active at the Lincoln Downtown Senior Center. She enjoyed travel and seeing new places and doing new things whenever possible. Patty was passionate about her country music and was proud of her Irish heritage. Pat loved animals of all kinds, especially her dogs, but she once even had a pet monkey! Pat also loved growing her flowers and plants. She had a real gift for nurturing all living things whether plant, animal or person.
Family members include her sons, Garvin (June) Meehan, Santa Monica, CA, Larry (Mary) Birch, Pierce, NE; daughters, Jeanne Birch and Georgia Birch, both of Lincoln; grandchildren, Heather Meehan, Sophia, Natalie, Issac, Claire and Paige Birch; brothers, Joe (Rose) Meehan, Lincoln, Bob (Licha) Meehan, Brownsville, TX; sisters, Shirley (Keith) Hatfield, Hudson, FL, Betty Gostomski, Arlington, TX. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, Fred and George Meehan.
Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Friday (4-8-16) at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
