Olga Eleanor Allen, 96, Lincoln, died Thursday (4-9-09) of a short illness. Born (9-10-1912) in Valparaiso, Nebraska the daughter of the late Emil J. and Anna Pauline (Hilcher) Steyer.
Homemaker. Lived and farmed with her husband east of Garland most of their lives. Formerly worked at Russell Stover Candies and the Seward Egg Plant. Attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Family members include sons, daughters-in-law: Glen W. and Elvera Allen, Mabank, Texas, Richard D. Allen, Lincoln, Robert L. and Marcella Allen, Valparaiso, Wilma Allen, Waverly; daughter, son-in-law: Eleanor J. and Ivan Benes, Valparaiso; 15 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren; brother: Alfred Steyer, Lincoln; sister: Ann Hill, Westminster, CO. Preceded in death by husband – Maurice, parents, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 granddaughters.
