Melzie was a hairdresser for over 42 years. She was a member of South Gate United Methodist Church and The Widowed Person Services Social Group and the Sunday Social Group – both through the Aging Partners Program.
Melzie loved to bowl and was involved in many bowling leagues.
Family members include her daughters Marcia (Ken) Sovereign, Hastings, Marilyn (Arnold) Keller, and Leisa (Marlin) Ausdemore, all of Lincoln; grandchildren Amy and Brent Sovereign, Kristin (Curtis) Adkins, Jennifer (Rob) Hague, Megan (Kyle) Starner, Lynsey (Jason) Cobb, Erica (Andrew) Lassen, Michael and Katelin Ausdemore; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Orlan Grams; sister Norma Kroese; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Dalmer, sisters Wilma VanEngen and Verna Bryant, brothers Ivan, Dale, and Elger Grams.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday (7-15-22) South Gate United Methodist Church, 3500 Pioneers Blvd.
Visitation with family present from 5-7 pm Thursday (7-14-22) Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive.
