Obituary

Meilah M. Meints

October 10, 2024 - October 26, 2024

Our deeply loved baby, Meilah Mae Meints, passed away quietly during the early hours of Saturday, October 26th, 2024. Meilah was born to Dylan and Sierra Meints at Saint Elizabeth’s hospital on the evening of October 10, 2024 @ 8:02pm. She was 7lbs, 2.9 oz, and 20 inches tall. She joined our world as a healthy and calm baby after her mother endured an all-natural labor and delivery, with the assistance of her Doula, Ebony. Also present with Sierra was her husband, Dylan, her mother, Precious (GaGa), her sister, Tawni, and her niece, baby Kaleila. Meilah’s introduction into this life was incredibly peaceful, beautiful, and calm. Meilah’s brothers and sister were overjoyed with excitement to welcome the newest member into their family. Baby Meilah was a highly anticipated, planned member of the family, who was to be the last addition to the family, completing the “Meints Bunch.” The vast majority of Meilah’s time on this earth was spent cuddling in her mother’s arms. Her older brother, Chayton, was very protective of her; often holding her while her mother cooked dinner each night. Meilah was a very observant baby who wore many expressions on her face at any given time. One of Meilah’s pleasures during her brief time on earth, was getting her hair washed during bath time. Just as peacefully as she entered this world; she left the world… peacefully slipping away. Her soul has made an impression on our hearts that will never fade. Meilah had the purest of spirits and was surely welcomed home by several loved ones. She now dwells in the arms of our Lord and Savior in heaven. Fly high our sweet baby girl, we miss you with every piece of our hearts. – Written with a heavy heart by her grandmother aka “GaGa”

Share a Memory or Condolence

November 4, 2024

I don’t have a memory to share, however I want to offer condolences. I lost a baby girl, too. She would be 42 now, but I think of the one who isn’t here. It’s painful, but becomes more tolerable with time. I share my loss so others know they aren’t alone. I’m deeply sorry for your loss.
