Mavis Edna Olson, 90, of Lincoln, died at home Friday, December 6, 2013. Born October 9, 1923 in Bruning, NE to Henry and Mary (Johnson) Block. Ret. secretary in the insurance field. Charter member of Sheridan Lutheran Church. Active in church activities, including women’s circle and Bible study. During retirement, Mavis and husband Howard delivered Meals On Wheels for many years. Mavis was also a longtime hospital volunteer at BryanLGH East.
Family members include her son, Thomas (Nancy) Olson, Prairie Village, KS; daughters, Linda (Don) Gruenemeyer, Findlay, OH, Joyce (Mark) Levsen, Webster, SD; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Howard, sisters, Pearl Miller and Florence Books.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Rd. with Pastor Greg Bouvier officiating.

Visitation: Family will greet friends from 7-8:30 pm Wednesday at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
