A selfless caretaker until the end, one of her biggest points of pride was her time spent in nursing school during World War II as she prepared to help in the war efforts in any way she could. She married Phil Anderson Oct 21, 1947 in Lincoln, NE.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Izetta Beckman, Max Lipskey, Robert Lipskey and Michael Lipskey, husband Phil, and son-in law John Hatgidakis. She is survived by her son Gary Anderson, daughter Marsha Hatgidakis, son and daughter in law Paul and Lori Anderson, daughter Donna Anderson, and daughter and son in law Karen and Brent Nelson. Mary Jo is survived by her grandchildren Amanda (Ryan) Metcalf, Sean Anderson, Lindsey (Jason) Hanlon, Olivia (Brett) Ray, Zach Hatgidakis, Sam (Mark) Shields, Anna Hatgidakis, Emily (Jack) Beauvais, Erika Nelson and great grandchildren Tristen Metcalf, Teghan Metcalf, Boe Beauvais, and Breck Ray. She is also survived by bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren Shelby (Cesar) Rodriguez, Mason Hopping, Ian Hopping, Silas Rodriguez and Amelia Rodriguez.
