Mary Emma Chopp

Mary Emma Chopp, 96, Lincoln, passed away on Monday (5-24-10). Born (5-10-14) and raised in Pilsen, Kansas to Jim and Rose (Krch) Bosh. Graduate of Pilsen High School. She married John Chopp on May 17, 1944 in Pilsen. They lived in Munden, Kansas. She gave birth to a son Larry in 1946 and daughter Janet in 1952.Mary devoted her life to taking care of Janet, caring for her every hour of every day. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Lincoln.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Joan Chopp, Lincoln; grandson, Roger Chopp, Lincoln; granddaughters, spouses, Jennifer and Steve Skala, Omaha, and Lissa and Nate Fellers, Lincoln; great grandchildren, Shelby Chopp, Breanna Skala and Parker Fellers; sister-in-law, Emily sklenicka, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by husband, John, daughter, Janet, parents, brothers, Alphonse (Al) and Theodore (Ted).

Funeral Mass: 4:00 p.m. Wednesday (5-26-10) St. John’s Catholic Church, 7601 Vine St.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Additional Service: Rosary 10:30 a.m. Thursday (5-27-10) Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas. Burial in the St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Belleville, KS.
