Marvin served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a farmer all of his life. He was a life-long member of the Prairie Home United Methodist Church serving in numerous leadership roles. He also served on the Waverly Co-op board and the NRD board.
Survived by his wife, Doris; sons David (Patricia) Hall, Louisburg, KS and Gary (Pam) Hall, Lincoln; daughters Linda (Bruce) Tesarek, Waverly, Debra (Bruce) Docter, Firth, and Norma (Mike) Houfek, Panama; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Marvin Weber; sister-in-law Phyllis Weber.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Marcia Hall, granddaughter Elizabeth Hall, sister Arlene (Gene) Terrill, niece Diane Terrill, brother-in-law Glenn Weber and sister-in-law Ann Weber.
Funeral service: 11:00 am Monday, December 30, 2024, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly, NE.
Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 pm Sunday, December 29, 2024, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel.
Memorials in lieu of flowers to Prairie Home United Methodist Church or Cedar’s Home for Children.
