Louise H. Howey, 97, Lincoln, died Monday (2-16-09). Born (4-29-11) in Lincoln, NE to Herbert and Margaret (Witthaus) Huddleston. Ret. Co-Owner, Howey’s Grill. Graduate of College View High School. Supervisor of the State Fair Industrial Arts Building and a quilt judge at the fair. Louise was one of the original founders of Lincoln Quilters Guild.
Family members include daughter, son-in-law: Margaret and Frederick Rickers, Lincoln; son, daughter-in-law: Richard and Adrianne Howey, Laramie, WY; grandchildren, spouses: Anne and Daren Sorenson, Stone Mountain, GA, Jon and Amy Rickers, Wills Point, TX; great grandchildren: Kennet and Kallan Sorenson, Jacob and Caleb Rickers; sister, brother-in-law: Maxine and O.B. Phillips, Long Beach, CA; brother, sister-in-law: W. R. and Pat Huddleston, Lincoln; nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by husband of 76 years – Lowell (1-11-09).
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday (4-11-09) First-Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 ‘D’ Street. Rev. Kathryn Campbell officiating.
