Dr. Tenney welcomed me with his warmth and humor when I began working with his practice over 30 years ago. He was always kind and compassionate to his staff and patients. He also welcomed me as a fellow Iowa State grad which was a tough road to have travelled amongst the Sea of Red at his practice. My sympathy to his family. Know that he is resting in the arms of his Savior now.

Bud was a great neighbor for many decades. My strongest memory was seeing him caring for his lawn, flowers and trees. Perhaps his surgical skills transferred to his residence landscape. He was such a kind and gentle person. We send condolences to his family and very much regret not being in Lincoln to attend his services. Karen and Robert Duncan

Dr. Tenney was the senior surgeon when I first joined his practice in 1997. I enjoyed operating with him both in Lincoln and “out and about” at the small towns that he took care of surgically. Bud was respected by his colleagues and very much by his patients and the communities he served so faithfully. I enjoyed his dry sense of humor! I am sorry about his passing, but I know he has heard “Well done, good and faithful servant” from his Master. I tip my hat to this great man that meant a lot to me and many others.

I got to “scrub in” with Dr. Bud when I was a family doctor in Geneva, NE. years before Carol and I became fast friends and travelers with Mike and Patti. Bud was alway a focus of their devotion and respect. I sensed though, from Mike, that he had learned many times what I did in the few times I was across the operating table from Dr. Tenney – pay attention, no fooling around here. With ALL due respect for a very respectable man. Prayers for the grieving. Joy in the memories.
