Larry Leon Coffey, 76, of Lincoln passed away June 26, 2018. Born May 6, 1942 northwest of Stamford, NE to Lorin Millard and Leta Belle (Williams) Coffey. Former owner of Coffey Carpet Service. Graduate of Stamford High School 1960. Member of the United Methodist Church since 1964. Volunteer fireman in Holdrege, NE for 22 years (1966-88) and EMT.
Family members include his wife, Mary; daughters, Trisha (Mike) David, Holdrege, Stacia (Robert) Gellermann, Cambridge, and Sharla (Billy) Boyer, Savannah, MO ; grandchildren, Kelsey (Chance) Harvey, Stephanie (Roman) Price, Kaley (Travis) Dahlin, Brett (Jessica) David, Shayne (Jerud Banzhaf) Hays, Nathan (Stephanie) Hays, Ashley (Caleb) Buffington, Jonathan Carngbe, Hannah Boyer; great-grandchildren, Caden and Declan Harvey, Kellen, Marrik and Bryson Dahlin, Madi Lynn, Haylee, and Wyatt Hays, Logan Smith, Kollyns and Barrett David; sister, Lucinda Urwiller, Grand Island; brother-in-law, Robert Nutzman, Aurora, CO; sister-in-law, Marilyn Fankel Nelson, Nashville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, brother and sister-in-law, LaVern and Joann Coffey; great-grandson, David Samuel Dahlin, parents-in-law, Roy B. and Frances Nelson, brother-in-law, Gary Nelson, sister-in-law, Carolyn (Nelson) Nutzman.
Memorial service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (7-2-18) Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 8320 South Street.
