Obituary

Larry Joe Nash

March 19, 1947 - March 28, 2021

Larry Joe Nash

Larry Joe Nash, 74, died March 28, 2021 at his home in Lincoln, Nebraska, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Born March 19, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Joe and Evelyn (Jenkins) Nash, he married Martha (Marty) Alexandria George on December 19, 1967. They had recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.

Larry is survived by his wife, Martha, son, Joshua Marrs (Amy Maschman) of Byron, Nebraska, and their children, Paiton Lynne, Gavin Joseph and Easton Leland, daughter Carrie Alexandria Nash Pfeiffer (Eric) of Carroll, Nebraska, and their children, Graison Alexandria, Soiyer Mae and Raleigh Martha. Also survived by his sister, Marsha Lee Nash Sultz, (Lucky) of Kalispell, Montana, and their son Eli.

Larry and Marty left Tennessee in 1973, heading west, and found employment and a home for 36 years in the high country town of Dubois, Wyoming. Larry, and later Marty, worked for many years for Bill and De Lamb at Dubois Telephone Exchange and later, Range Telephone Cooperative.

For health reasons, they moved in 2009 to Venice, Florida for five years, and then to Lincoln, Nebraska to be closer to family.

Larry’s favorite pastime all his life was fishing, and he was blessed with many opportunities to follow his passion – from the streams of Tennessee, to the rivers and lakes of Wyoming, and to the coasts of Florida and the islands in the Caribbean.

Cremation has taken place and a family memorial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Food Bank of Lincoln (www.lincolnfoodbank.org).
