Larry Eldon Nippert

November 4, 1943 - July 13, 2024

Larry Eldon Nippert, 80, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on July 13th, 2024 after his hard fought cancer journey. Larry was born on November 4th, 1943 to Ellsworth and Katherine (Venell) Nippert in Fairbury, Nebraska.

After Larry graduated from Bruning High School in 1960, he went on to study agriculture education, at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where he met his wife, Patricia Arnold. To this union was born three daughters.

He was a faithful servant of Bethel Church in Carleton, Nebraska, for nearly fifty years. Larry enjoyed raising hobby animals, his flower gardens, and spending time with his grandchildren. Upon moving to Lincoln in 2015, Larry volunteered with the Nebraska Naturalists and worked with their conservation programs.

After a short teaching career, Larry, returned to the family farm near Carleton, NE where he raised SPF Yorkshire hogs for a number of years before becoming a loan officer, from which he retired in 2003.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Pat Nippert, brother-in-laws Wayne Arnold and Dan Arnold, and nephew Scott Arnold.

He is survived by his wife, Patti, and daughters Kasi (Patrick) Horwart of Cambridge, NE; Jani (Steve) Randall of Elkhorn, NE; Sara (Chad) Arens of Waverly, NE; nine grandchildren, Dawson Horwart, Brandon Horwart, Kayla Nunnenkamp, Abby Randall, Shane Horwart, Kelsey Nunnenkamp, Sydney Billups, Lukas Arens, and Katie Arens, sister Gail (Ron) Ward of Fairbury, NE, brother Ward Nippert of Manhatten, KS, sister-in-law Marilyn Arnold of David City, sister-in-law Ruth Arnold of Omaha NE, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Services will be held at Faith Bible Church in Lincoln, NE on July 19th, 2024.
