Lanny R. Ash was born in Des Moines, lA and passed away peacefully at his home in Lincoln, NE.
He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Des Moines and served in the US Army. He sang and played saxophone, keyboard and drums with a band for several years and continued to have a love of music, especially Jazz.
Lanny worked in sales for various appliance companies and retired in 2010 from Builder Sales Dept. for Nebraska Furniture Mart.
He was active in Home Builder Association of Lincoln, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, Santa Cops, Golf Tournaments.
Survived by wife JoAnne, son Kevin Ash (Maria) Robins, la. daughters Kristi Miller (Randy) Norwalk, la., Kelli Hildebrand (Patrick) Seattle, Wa. and Kami Addison (Minnetonka, Mn) and 10 Grandchildren. Also, siblings Jane Ogg, Peggy McEvoy (Michael) and Tim Ash (all Des Moines).
Preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and Kevin and Kristi’s mom, Peggy Ash.
Celebration of Life Open House starting at 9:00 a.m. on 11/14/2022 at Roper & Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 O St. with a memorial service to follow at 10:00 a.m.
No burial (Cremation).
