Kurt Douglas Prai

March 15, 1949 - August 20, 2024

Kurt Douglas Prai, 75, of Lincoln passed away August 20, 2024 at The Waterford at Williamsburg. Born March 15, 1949, in Lincoln, NE, to Richard “Dick” and Dorothy “Dotti” (Hull) Prai.

Kurt graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Wayne State College. He served as a police officer with the Lincoln Police Department for twenty-eight years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching many sports. He coached midget football for many years with a championship team.

Family members include his wife, Charlene “Charli”; children Robin (Scott) Brester, Kevin Prai, Tiffany (Steve) Taege, and Trevor Prai; grandchildren Gavin and Keegan Brester, and Hunter Donkin; stepgrandchildren Lane and Olivia Taege; sister Leslie Hamel, nephew Ben Murphy.

Preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, from 3-5 pm at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Reception Room, 3950 Hohensee Drive.
