Kevin L. Underwood

November 24, 1959 - July 30, 2022

Kevin L. Underwood, 62, of Lincoln, passed away on July 30, 2022. He was born on November 24, 1959  in Lincoln to George W. and Eunice (Henning) Underwood. After graduating from Lincoln Southeast High School, Kevin attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a degree in Accounting. He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta and the Trinity Lutheran Church. Kevin served on the board of the League of Human Dignity for many years. He provided accounting and bookkeeping services to many small business owners.

Family members include his mother, Eunice; sisters, Debbie (Norm) Hedgecock, Nancy (Les) Buckley; brother, Scott Underwood; nieces and nephews, Jon (Jenny) Hedgecock, Jake (Taylor) Hedgecock, Greg (Kerstin) Buckley, Beth (Matt) Breunsbach, Grant (Kelsey) Buckley, and George Underwood; and close friend and caregiver, Steve Foster. Preceded in death by his father George and brother Gregory George.

A private service was held Tuesday, August 2, 2022. A recording of the service is posted below!

RIP Kevin, I always had fond memories of Bruce Helvey and I playing ping pong in your basement, You would of beat Forest Gump. To the Underwood family Sorry for your loss. From all your classmates from grade school to Southeast High. You will be missed in our hearts.

I served on the League of Human Dignity Board with Kevin for many years. His personality would light up the room and I so enjoyed every time I was around him. He will be missed, but will remain in the memories of so many who had the opportunity to know him. Condolences to all his family.
