Keith Roy McKay, rural Alvo, passed away March 17, 2017 in Lincoln. Born November 10, 1944 in Lincoln to David and Lela (Sturdy) McKay; Lifelong Farmer. Keith was a member of the Prairie Home United Methodist Church where he enjoyed his many church functions, and the VFW (Waverly); Keith enjoyed his time at the Sale Barn and loved spending time with his friends and family. Especially loved having his grandchildren out on the farm, to enjoy the land and help (play) with the baby animals. U.S. Army Veteran, Vietnam War.
Family members include; wife of 49 years, Bonnie; son, Dave, both of rural Alvo; Daughter Cherie Crist, Waverly; five grandchildren, Dylan, Garett, Thomas, Missy, Madi; brother Roger, Eagle, NE; Many friends and extended family. Preceded in death by parents, children, Kim, Kenneth and Keith; 3 brothers, Donald and Glen McKay and Mike White.
Funeral service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday (3/22) Roper and Sons Funeral Home-Waverly, 10851 N. 148th Street, Waverly, NE; Pastor Doyle Burbank-Williams officiating. Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday (3/21) with family present during this time at the funeral home in Waverly. Burial in Rosewood Cemetery, Palmyra, NE.
Memorials may be given to the family for a future designation.
