For 68 years, Auntie Kaye has always been and will always be my favorite aunt. She was instrumental in getting me interested in tennis, even winning a few tournaments before my back surgery. We also loved to ice skate at Pershing Auditorium back in the day. She was “bouncy and gregarious,” I remember her fun laugh and clever greetings and good-byes. We had fun during her later years as well: she would come over to our house in Lincoln and play with our grandson Avery, who also adored her. She was so pleased he is a good tennis player, having played tennis since he was 4…he is now 10. After running errands together, I would take her on fun rides around Lincoln and we had many heart to heart chats. She was gracious and kind to the end of her earthly life, and Heaven will welcome her with open arms. I miss her already, but have lifelong memories to keep me company.
