Justin Matthew Pierce

Justin Matthew Pierce, 37, Lincoln passed away December 3, 2018. Born August 21, 1981 in Lincoln, NE to Jack F. and Vicki L. (Schinkel) Pierce.

Justin graduated from Lincoln Pius X High School and Hastings College where is received his Master’s degree. He worked as Admissions Recruiter at Hastings College, Assistant Football Recruiter at Alabama and Director of Player Personnel at Georgia State. Worked at Cornhusker Bank upon returning to Lincoln.

Family members include his daughter Avery Katherine Pierce; parents Jack and Vicki Pierce; sister Audra L. Pierce; aunts and uncles Cheri Ocander, Phillip and Beverly Schinkel, Becki Rentschler, Jami and Sonny Method, Tammy and Gary Staiert, Ron and Claire Schinkel, Robin Svoboda and Mary Lou and Lou Reignier; and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by his grandparents Henrietta Schinkel, John and Marjorie Pierce; Aunt Shawna Pierce & Cousin Blake Svoboda.

Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 Wednesday (12-5-18) concluding with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive (40th & Yankee Hill Dr.).

Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Thursday (12-6-18) St. Peters Catholic Church, 4500 Duxhall Drive with Fr. Craig Doty officiating.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to Educational Fund for Avery Katherine Pierce, Hastings College Athletic Fund, or Pius X Educational Fund.
