We always had great time in the party barn for birthdays and BBQs. Joyce was a blast, and had a great soul. You will be remembered.

To my wonderful wife, who was always by my side. I thank God for sending you to me for 30 years. You were so faithful, funny and caring more about me, than yourself. You were so caring, honest and always looked nice, and worked hard. I’m going to miss you and love you so much. Now Ho fly high with the angels in which you are one, without pain and misery. Love & Kisses Your loving husband Ernie

My dear aunt, this is a true heartbreak, but you are in a good place now and free of your hard fight. I will never forget you getting me out on some pretty fun and exciting vacations (New England, Gulf Coast) all on a bus trip. She had the whole bus busting with laughter. Then the time we spent in Florida in a condo. These are things I would never have done otherwise. These are times I will cherish forever. I will be left with a hole in my heart, only to be filled when we meet again. Run free with family and friends.

Joyce was a faithful member and regular attendees of Havelock United Methodist Church. As her pastor I remember her sweet spirit and friendliness. She will be greatly missed. I admire her fight for life at the end.

What a tough loss to this world. She was so sweet, funny, and kind. We all love ‘Lucy’. I have several memories of Joyce and Ernie, as well as my wife, who were coworkers together in the paint dept. at Wesleyan. We enjoyed meals, drinks, and just shooting the bull on occasion. She was definitely one of a kind.

We had a fun time at the D.A.V club, for I believe a birthday party for your Mom. So sorry for your loss. God’s blessings.

Joyce was a fun loving friend. Just naughty enough to get you into trouble or get you out of trouble. Always the life of the party. She loved the Havelock area and could sing a pretty good song about the Havelock girls. I think it was best that “Lucy” as we called her at Wesleyan , did not know each other until we were a little older. She also taught my son, Logan to be an excellent painter. Love you .
