Jon Parrish, age 68, passed away November 5, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. He had suffered for quite some time with a rare leukodystrophy disease. He was born in Broken Bow and raised in North Platte, NE to Frank and Rumilda (Maul) Parrish on December 10, 1947. After graduating from North Platte High School he went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. With his wife, Linda, he owned and operated the Nebraska Hearing Center.
Survivors include his wife Linda (Morrissy); brother Frank and wife Marcia Parrish of Denver, CO; in-laws Jack and Lola Desmond of San Antonio, TX and Jack and Pam Johnson of Elkhorn, NE; mother-in-law Mary Lou Morrissy; nephews Jon (Donielle) Parrish, Mark (Jacque) Parrish, and JJ Johnson; and nieces Lindsay Johnson and Nicole Johnson Olmstead (Josh).
Memorial service scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2, Roper and Sons Chapel at 2 pm followed by a reception at The Nebraska Club from 4 – 6.
