Joanna Kate (Dodson) Hollandsworth, 46, Valparaiso, formerly of Lincoln, Ainsworth and Valentine, Nebraska died Tuesday (2-1-11) at BryanLGH Medical Center West. Katie was born (8-2-64) in Topeka, Kansas to Sam William and Janet Lee (Woodworth) Dodson. She worked for the Department of Roads and was soon to receive recognition for 20 years of service. She enjoyed bowling and loved going to the state tournaments. Katie mostly loved her family, especially her children. She was a friend to everyone and a stranger to no one.
Family members include husband Ted; daughter: Kaylee May Hollandsworth; son: Theodore Isaac (Ty) Hollandsworth; step-daughter: Andrea Salmen, all of Valparaiso; brothers: Burl Dodson, Staplehurst, NE, Wallace Dodson, Madrid, NE; sisters, brothers-in-law: Sandra and Dan Adams, Wheatland, IA, Kathy Sue and Leon Leapaldt, Elmwood, NE; mother, spouse: Janet and Charles Doty, Seward, NE; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father Sam Dodson.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday (2-4-11) Ceresco United Methodist Church, 421 North 2nd. Pastor Jeff Thurman, officiating. Burial in the Valparaiso Cemetery.

Visitation beginning 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
