August 28, 2024

I met Joan when we both volunteered for AARP. I liked her immediately, and we had great conversations at meetings and at a couple of lunches we arranged. I lost track of her and was sad to hear of her death. My condolences to the family and friends she loved so much.

Dear Lynn, Lorri, Stacy and Family, Joan was one of my first “Mentors” in the Banking industry, nearly 40 years ago at the old Gateway Bank downtown. She was a true professional who also cared equally about her staff and clients. Joan had that rare combination of being kind and tough when necessary. And, although she faced challenges as we all do, she was always a class act. We stayed connected over the years and most recently on Facebook. I am so sorry for your loss as I know she was an anchor in your family – you were all her greatest achievement, and she spoke of you often. I hope you will find comfort in each other along with the knowledge that Joan will be remembered always by those who loved her best. With Sympathy,

– Kim Munnis
