Jerry served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from ADM where he worked in maintenance. Jerry loved people. He could make a friend anywhere he went. He also loved many forms of art – metal art using welding, carving, drawing, and clay sculpting.
Family members include his wife Linda; daughter Kitt (Steven) Saathoff and son Mike (Christy) Dempsey; grandchildren Marielle (William) Herman, Annaliese Saathoff, Liam Dempsey, & Cael Dempsey.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service: 2:30 pm Friday, July 19, 2024, Sheridan Lutheran Church. 6955 Old Cheney Road.
