Jennifer Renee Hughes, 37, of Lincoln passed away February 17, 2023. Born July 9, 1985, in Lincoln, NE to David and Susan (Macchietto) Hughes.

Jennifer was a sales associate with Dillard’s.

Family members include her father David Hughes; brother Josh (Shannon) Hughes; nieces and nephews Kelton, Braelyn, Aubree, and Luella; grandmother Edie Macchietto. Preceded in death by her mother Susan, grandparents Richard and Velda Hughes and Joe Macchietto.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, March 2, 2023, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation with family present from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, March 1, 2023, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to the family c/o Dave Hughes.

Jennifer was so kind and thoughtful. She was a really beautiful and gentle soul. She was accomplishing so much and really learning to live life on her own terms. She had so much love for all people, and spoke of her mom, dad, sibling and other family members with infinite love. She’s with her mother now and I can only imagine what that reunion was like for them both. I’m so sad for all the people who loved her, and I offer condolences to her family and friends.
