Obituary

Jeffrey G. Creal

November 10, 1961 - November 8, 2024

Jeffrey Gerard Creal, 62, peacefully entered eternal life on November 8, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Thomas and Kathleen Creal. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center before establishing a successful career as a physical therapist. Jeff was united in marriage to Susan Gould in 1987, a union blessed with four children whom he loved with all his heart.

Jeff loved life, which included a deep relationship with Jesus. He enjoyed reading, cooking, watching Husker football and, above all else, spending quality time with his family. He loved cats, and later in life he often referred to himself as “the great indoorsman.”

He is survived by his wife of more than 37 years, Susan Creal; children Kelsi (Jeff) Allen, Kevin (Janey) Creal, Spencer Creal and Cooper Creal; siblings Steve (Anna) Creal, Tom (Cindy) Creal, Marcia Merboth, Dan (Vicki) Creal, Terri (Lou) Zearing, Mike (CJ) Creal, Chris (Dan) Nordstrom and Bob (Mary) Creal; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Creal, and mother, Kathleen Creal.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15, at 11:00AM at Lincoln Berean Church (6400 S 70th St.)

So very sorry (and surprised) to hear of Jeff’s passing. We had lost contact since I retired and moved to the ranch. Jeff was probably my best PT friend in 43 years of practice and our time together at LPTA and later at the clinic at 27th and Superior. He of course was a great jokester with a wonderful sense of humor, yet was probably the brightest and most creative PT I worked with. My prayers are with you, your kids and all the Creal family.

I worked with Jeff, during his time at LGH. He was fun, serious about helping patients, and provided lots of laughter at the nurses station. God’s peace be with each of the Creal family.

Sending hugs and prayers for your family. Jeff made PT school fun – he came in every day (well almost) with a smile on his face and cracked jokes about everything! What I admired about him was that he helped others deal with the stress by bringing a little humor and joy into our lives.

Susan, I remember attending your wedding so many years ago and witnessing the love story you and Jeff were embarking on together. It was such a beautiful occasion; and I’m thankful for all of the years you shared together and the many blessings of family you created together. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of Jeff for you and your entire family, Susan. No matter how many years, it’s never enough. Keeping you all in prayers for peace and comfort with the promise of our Savior’s return one day. On that glorious day you will be reunited, never to be parted again. God bless and keep you all in His loving care.

To the Creal family, I send sympathy. I hope your treasured memories of Jeff will help you find comfort during this challenging time. I first met Jeff in the capacity as a relatively new PT faculty member when he was a student, where he was known to have a dry sense of humor. Wishing peace in your hearts.

Sending our sympathies to the Creal family. Cooper and Kelsi are friends of ours and they special people, I am sure their father was a huge reason why.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I was a classmate of Jeff’s in physical therapy school and my most vivid memory of him was his sense of humor. He made us all laugh even in the most stressful of studious all night book cramming. May he be laughing and dancing in heaven. May the Lord bless the family and his children left behind. Peace during such sadness.
